These two are having a blast in the sprinkler. What a fun activity for a hot summer day!!

Pool fun

This is a great thing to do on a hot summer day. The boys made a game out of it by seeing who could get in the pool first.

Bubble time

Bubbles are a fun activity to do outside, and they are also very cheap to buy. They can keep kids busy for a long time, and this preschool class is having a blast chasing and catching them.

Frog Song

This is a cute song that also has a great book to go along with it. It works on counting when the frogs each jump into the pool. She is really talented to play guitar while singing it!!!

Backyard Obstacle Course

An obstacle course is a great way to work on sequencing large motor skills and following directions. You can use any equipment you have around home, and have the children also put different things in to try. Jump ropes, hoops, balls and buckets, or lines drawn on the driveway or sidewalks are good things to start with.

Shaving Cream

This preschool class is having fun at the table with shaving cream. You could work on writing letters, numbers or even your name in it. It can be messy, but will wash off quick with water.

Letters

This is a very cheap way to have fun with letters, and start to work on making words with your preschooler. It can be done on any magenetic surface, but a cookie sheet works great as shown.

Volcano Experiment

These boys are having a fun time with an experiment at home. It is simple and creates a great experiment for curious preschoolers. There also isn't a lot of clean up involved either.

Sand and water

She is having so much fun that it's hard to listen to mom talking. Mom tried hard to get her attention. The sand and water are so fun to mix and scoop.

Outside water fun

These two are having a great time outside painting with water. What a great activity that doesn't cost anything, and can create lots of fun!! You just need a bucket, water and a brush.

Cleaning the house!!

These two are having a great time cleaning the house. That makes a few less things that mom or dad have to do. It is also a good way to have team work.

Figuring the Puzzle Out

This little girl is using problem solving to figure her puzzle out. Mom is there to watch and encourage her to finish it. Mom is an important piece to her learning as she giving her the opportunity to work on the puzzle, and make her feel good about it.

Just Being Curious!!!

How fun it is to be curious!! Curiosity is part of normal development for preschool children. It is hard sometimes to watch our children get into things, but we are really helping their growth and development in the long run.

Finger painting

What a fun and messy activity to do. You just need a table, paints, and your fingers. The kids are also learning their colors as they dip their fingers in. The hard part will be cleaning up, but at least the kids are having a good time.

Writing

She is attending a preschool class, and working on writing her name. The teacher is giving some positive feedback and is very encouraging. Kids can do many activities with a piece of paper and anything from markers to crayons. She will need to learn how to write her name for kindergarten too.
